Furcht und Hoffnung
Nine young Afghans are unexpectedly torn from their carefree childhood games and must yield to their parents‘ decisions. On their journey to Europe, they can only take what fits in a backpack from their entire previous lives. Yet, even in dark times, not everything is bleak and hopeless. Through dance, poetry, and theater, the performers recount their deeply personal stories, which also reflect the untold experiences of many others. As they gradually regain control over their own narratives, the youth not only give voice to themselves but also to those who have remained unheard.
