Barrierefreiheit
Accessibility
The ticket office, main foyer and main auditorium/Großes Haus are wheelchair-accessible via the main entrance of the theatre building.
Barrier-free access to Sternfoyer, upper stalls, the locations Roter Salon/Grüner Salon and 3. Stock is currently not possible for structural reasons.
On the wheelmap.org website you will find detailed, illustrated information about the Volksbühne’s barrier-free facilities.
Accompanying persons
Companions of visitors with disabilities holding a disability code „B“ companion pass have free admission.
Guests with hearing impairments
For guests with hearing impairments, we can provide a receiver with headphones on request, which amplifies the sound from the stage. This device is individually adjusted by our sound department to suit the guest’s hearing needs and seating position.
We kindly ask you to register in advance at least 24 hours before the performance by emailing besucherservice@volksbuehne-berlin.de.
Set-up takes approximately 10 minutes. Please arrive at the venue around 30 minutes before the performance begins and report to the front-of-house staff.
Blind and partially sighted visitors
We regularly offer live Audio Described in German for repertory performances in cooperation with spielplan audiodeskription at Großes Haus for blind and partially sighted audiences.
