Darlina Sáenz

Concert, followed by a DJ-set by Edna Martínez

Traditional Bullerengue singer Darlina Sáenz shares the legacy of her mother Eloisa Garcés live on a rare Europe tour. At Grüner Salon, she will join forces with practitioners of Bullerengue based in Berlin, Hamburg, and London, while DJ and curator Edna Martínez will close the evening with a Caribbean-rooted and Afro-diasporic set that bridges tradition and contemporary expression.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Darlina Sáenz and her project.

Passed down through generations, Bullerengue is an artistic expression of Afro-Colombian resilience from the Colombian Caribbean, brought to life through song, drums and dance. A living tradition that led Eloisa Garcés, a maestra from the Urabá region, to sing to and of her environment: of nature, daily life, hardship, joy, faith, and history. Since her mother’s passing, Darlina Sáenz has carried this heritage with her own voice, gaining acclaim at Bullerengue festivals and beyond. This 2026, she brings the rhythms, stories, and spirit of her native Urabá to Europe.
