Vergessene Arbeitskämpfe - Ein Punk-Abend
On 30 January 1933, Paul von Hindenburg, President of the Reich, handed over power to Adolf Hitler, and it was only in the small town of Mössingen in Germany’s south, where people responded to the call for strike by the Communist Party KPD. It has written German history a s “the general strike of Mössingen”. The KPD had hoped to be able to ward off the worst just as in 1920 when, after the far-right’s Kapp putsch attempt, a general strike prevented the takeover at the last minute.
CAVA love sparkling wine, garage rock and punk music. As long as it’s loud and wild and dirty, it’s nice enough for them. Meaty guitar riffs, piercing feedback loops and melodious vocals.
DACHLAWINE: Riot rocks! The melodic „natural catastrophic punk rockers from Potsdamned” dish up a supportive strengthening of the community to ward off badass feelings and ideas and captivate you entirely. Uffta rhythms and melodic lead guitar sounds bare their claws to transport rebellious essentials. The sky is grey and cold and so are you, choking on the words amid the goddamn crap and inhuman grievances. Sexism, racism, patriarchy, homophobia are confronted by punk music as ideological point of departure, offensively and with a throaty Grrrr! Inclusion instead of exclusion and exclusivity. When will this madness stop? And while I’m talking about the weather, DACHLAWINE are tearing down walls…including those in our minds. Ruckus Ratz&Rübe-style and a dose of riot – these are the ingredients of autonomous dance music at its finest.
