Three Days to Liberation

Munich based outernational sound hoarder will play a special set with focus on cracky Persian Pop vinyls from Iran’s prerevolutionary days. A vibrant and female dominated music scene was combining the poetic roots of Persian poetry with uneven 6/8 rhythms and the gear that shaped 60s and 70s Rock and Pop all over the world. The result is unique and sounds like nothing else in this world. This music scene has been wiped out or got forced into exile but its vision lives to this day and beyond in nostalgia or in hope for brighter days. This set is going to be about dancing and crying at the same time.

Apart from being a globe trotting vinyl archaeologist DJ Booty Carrell aka Sebastian Reier is responsible for music programmation at Münchner Kammerspiele and runs his own bi-weekly radio show »Groovie Shizzl« on ByteFM.

This event is part of the festival „Three Days to Liberation“, curated by Maryam Palizban and Constanza Macras | DorkyPark.

With the support of the “Senatsverwaltung für Kultur und Gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt”.
