The RomaTrial retrospective, curated by Hamze Bytyçi, builds a bridge from the past to the future: while three films deal with the memory of the Nazi genocide of Sinti and Roma, three other participatory films present the views of the younger generation. Young Roma deal with their own musical and cultural heritage, migration and old patriarchal structures and take up traditional stories about evil spirits and process them in a self-written horror film.

„SO DIKHEA?“ is in Romani and means „What do you see?“. This outreach programme of the International Festival of Romani Film AKE DIKHEA? also shows diverse cinematic perspectives of Roma on topics that are relevant to society as a whole in addition to the annual festival.
