


Psychic Liberation
Psychic Liberation (PL) is a label founded in 2013, originally ran with Miguel Alvariño titled Primitive Languages as a cassette and record store project in New York City. It is now operated solo by Nick Klein since 2019 under the working title Psychic Liberation out of the EU.
The eponymous concert series in the Red Salon takes place with changing guests.
Adam Campbell is a Scottish musician based in Berlin who works with improvisation, feedback and nonlinear systems. With Tristan Clutterbuck he runs Fancyyyyy, a record label and publisher of cybernetic music instruments. Ongoing projects Ego Depletion with Fritz Welch and Butter with Tina Krekels and Grant Smith. Recent works include WHAT a neural pulsar synthesis system built in collaboration with Claud Speeed for Synthetic Minds at Medialab Matadero and collaborative performances with Audrey Chen, Nic Krog, Nat Phillips and Aonghus McEvoy.
Nazanin Noori is an artist, who lives and works in Berlin. Her interdisciplinary work includes sound art, live and lecture performance, installation, direction and text. With a formal education in theater, film and media studies, Noori addresses the merging of sound, space, sculpture and post-dramatic poetry, focussing on atmospheric narratives. Her compositions are primarily in the Ambient Hardcore realm, branching out into Doom Electronics. Her latest sound piece HAAL was commissioned by Deutschlandfunk Kultur in 2022. Her debut album FARCE was released in 2020. In the same year, she had a residency at Junge Akademie der Künste in Berlin. Nazanin Noori’s sound and room installations were on view at EIGEN + ART Lab, Akademie der Künste, as well as Transmediale. Her performances have been staged at Berliner Festspiele, Villa Massimo, Halle am Berghain, Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Museum Angewandte Kunst, Schauspielhaus Zürich and CTM. Her theatre works were staged at Deutsches Theater and Berliner Ensemble. Her sound scenarios have been presented in various radio stations across Africa, Asia, America and Europe, such as Refuge Worldwide, Mutant Radio and Deep House Tehran.
Nazanin Noori is also part of the improvisational trio Parvaresh/Noori/Zahedi, performing as a modular synthesist and vocalist, next to the bass clarinetist and clarinetist Shabnam Parvaresh and Azin Zahedi, who plays the santoor, bansuri and flute.
Marcin Pietruszewski (1984, Poland) is a composer and researcher. He is engaged in sound synthesis and composition with computers, exploring specific formal developments in the tradition of electroacoustic music and contemporary sound art. He works across composition, pluriphonic installations, and radio productions. Recurring interests of his practice include synthetic sound, algorithmic systems, and the integration of scientific formalisms as compositional materials. Works exhibited at West Court Gallery (Edinburgh, 2019), Remote Viewing (Philadelphia, 2019), and Institute of Contemporary Arts (London, 2017). Commissions by Sonic Acts/ Biennale di Venezia (2023), Haus der Kulturen der Welt (2021), CTM Festival (2021), ZKM Karlsruhe (2018) and Deutschlandradio Kultur (2016). Collaborations include ‚Love Numbers‘ (Venice Biennale, 2023) with Anthea Caddy; ‚Auditory Scene Resynthesis as Cochlear Wavepackets‘ (HKW, Berlin, 2021) with Jan St. Werner (Mouse on Mars); NORMIFICATION (Presto!? Records, 2024) with Florian Hecker.
