Psychic Liberation (PL) is a label founded in 2013 that originally ran with Miguel Alvariño under the title Primitive Languages as a cassette and record store project in New York City. Since 2019, it has been run solo out of the EU by Nick Klein under the title Psychic Liberation. For the second edition of the eponymous series at the Red Salon of the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Nick Klein has invited Teresa Winter and Wilted Woman – and the label boss himself will also be behind the DJ decks.

Wilted Woman is the alias of Berlin-based composer, musician, and radiomaker Elizabeth Davis. Her music defies easy categorization—it is constructed with a combination of self-made instruments and software, violin, drum machines, bluetooth peripherals, and other sounding objects. In addition to her solo work, she regularly collaborates with Silvia Kastel as Shakey, with Christoph de Babalon as Suds, and with Nick Klein. Over the last decade, she has performed at venues and festivals across Europe and North America including Sonic Acts, Cafe Oto, Transmediale, ZKM, Fylkingen, and Meakusma, as well as countless basements, clubs, restaurants, and living rooms.

Teresa Winter is an artist from the English Yorkshire coast. She produces and performs experimental music working with electronics, collage and vocals. Wire writes that she “excavates sonic memories to create narratives that sidestep time.” She has released  LPs through The Death of Rave, Boomkat, Reckno and has an upcoming album coming out on Night School.
