In the summer of 2020, women became the face of the revolution in Belarus. Having hijacked the presidential elections, they catapulted themselves into the headlines of the media across the globe. The regime reacted with harsh repressions, imposing absurdly long sentences for the most ludicrous ‘offenses’ ever since. The testimonies of women from Belarus prisons presented in the book are a reminder of how dignity and resilience can survive in an environment full of harassment, violence and terror.
