This Krautrock symphony by the band GROSSMUTTER.BERLIN, consisting of Regina Schulte am Hülse, Dr. Lutz Fahrenkrog-Petersen, Thomas Pflanz, Taylor Savvy and Daniel Schröteler, is based on Shakespeare’s KING LEAR. The death songs are supplemented by recitatives from the Ádda – Nordic sagas from the 13th century. Two artists, two worlds that enrich and complement one another.
Recitation by Ilse Ritter: Far, oh far I see into the worlds a’where.
– Ádda
The musical joint production of GROSSMUTTER.BERLIN will premiere on 8 March in the Red Salon of the Volksbühne. Patricia Walczak is responsible for the costumes.
