At night, our existence is shrouded in mystery as we approach the darker side of life. At the same time, the night can also free us from constraints and let fantasy take over. The short film NACHTS by filmmakers Claudia Lehmann and Konrad Hempel is themed around these binaries, describing the journey of a woman through the city at night, where she finally encounters her own self.
A film with Jenny Schily, Daniel Regenberg, Thelma Buabeng among many others. The film premiere offers the seekers and finders among us an opportunity to explore themselves through the film-documentary-essay THE SYMPHONY OF UNCERTAINTY. It is here where elementary particles collide as the filmmaker Claudia Lehmann has her doctorate supervisor, physics professor Gerhard Mack, meet up with different scholars, the shaman Inadevi, as well as with Mack’s partner Rosy Dypka and filmmaker Hark Bohm. They all confront him with pressing questions relating to our existence, and it is here where different worldviews collide. How can we find a common language, is it possible at all?
The screening is followed by a discussion with Professor Christian Schwanenberger (DESY) and the audience to continue the explorations initiated in the film, and subsequently parts of the soundtrack as well as new sounds and songs will be combined to create a new symphony in a live concert performance.
