The band Unbehaun (Verena & Stefan Hillebrand) play songs that range from Helge Schneider and Marianne Rosenberg to electropop. The whimsical lyrics are in the style of German pop hits, featuring dark humour and touching vocal melodies.

Plus the music video premiere by Datenstrudel for Unbehaun’s second single Nanatur (Staatsakt).

Verena Unbehaun, an actress, lyricist and singer, writes, sings and performs absurd lyrics set to music.
She combines theatrical doubts with exaggerated moments of intimacy and finds musical release in unrestrained pop songs.
Her plays “Sex mit Kuchen”, “In meiner Bluse platzt die Primel”, “Ein Fessl Buntes” and “Wand Wurst Telleraugen” have been staged at venues including the TD, the Sophiensäle, HAU, and at the “Ohne alles Festival” at the Schauspielhaus Bochum.
In March 2026, the joint evening “Freak & Kriegen” by Hillebrand/Wengenroth/Unbehaun premiered at the Ballhaus Ost.

The duo UNBEHAUN (singer/songwriter Verena Unbehaun and musician Stefan Hillebrand) met during the “Planet Porno” productions by director Patrick Wengenroth at the TD, HAU, the Sophiensäle and the Schaubühne. For several years now, they have been writing subversive electro-schlager songs that oscillate between madness, depth and triviality.

UNBEHAUN will release their first album on the Staatsakt label in 2026.
