The four Ceijas

THE 4 CEIJAS is a 60-minute spoken word and poetry performance preview that explores the life and legacy of Ceija Stojka. By dividing her experiences into four different narratives represented by four different „CEIJAS“: A multi-faceted exploration of identity, trauma, survival and artistic expression realised performatively from Ceija’s perspective.

The aim is to consider the concept of Roma joy, resilience and the complexity of memory, remembrance culture and the spirit of resistance through Ceija’s art and life experience.

The project is a cooperation between Kelipen e.V / Abteilung Rom*nja Theaterkollektiv Berlin (www.romnjatheater.de) and QUEERDOS (thespian, scholar, transactivist, director)
