Romani Filmmakers Network
Are you tired of watching the same, stereotypical stories about Romani people over and over again?
Come and launch the Romani Filmmakers Network with us! Let’s shape the narratives together!
After a year of setting up, the Romani Filmmakers Network is ready to present itself to the world. Our mission: to advocate for equity and inclusion within the international film industry, pushing for systemic change in policies and practices that have long enough excluded Romani narratives. The RFN was founded by three international partners Das Kombinat (Germany), Patrin Films (U.K.) and TUKE.TV (Czech Republic) in order to address this imbalance, empower Romani filmmakers, and create pathways and access points into the industry and for Romani storytelling to be seen and heard across global screens.
The event is funded by the German Federal Film Board as well as by the Czech-German Future Fund.
