P14 – We´re Teens, We´re Cute
Von Nike Hartmond, Leon Locher, Louis Vincent Platzer, P14We know where we stand, or: who we are. We are adults. No longer teens, and queens, kings, travelling clowns do their hustle and bustle on a stage, which they’ve entered only recently. Before that, they had spent most of the time in their „queer“ teen bedrooms. But now they come crawling out, wanting to seek shelter in this theatre room. Visibility is an important thing, but safety is vital. How could the theatre provide for both? How could this work with audiences? How can we show ourselves to the world without protection? And can we find a way to look at, to watch each other without taking away the rooms of others?
We’ve got that pride, we’ve got that. This is my house, and if you don’t like it you can fuck off. We’ve got that, or do we?
Somehow it turned into every room I ever was, and every room I was going to be afterwards (…) Life in this room seemed to be taking place under water…
