NK Live – der neue Fernsehsender aus Neukölln

We’re starting on 9 November! Our new community TV channel will broadcast live from Neukölln to premiere on the screen of Volksbühne’s VIDEOTHEK before being sent out to the world on the internet.

The new television channel NK Live is an open space for reflection on and (re)negotiation of existing narratives surrounding the life of young people in Berlin’s district of Neukölln.

NK Live is a youth project in which the ideas of participants in front of and behind the camera, as authors, dramaturgs, costume designers, sound engineers, and as cameraperson, post-producer or cutter, will take centre stage. In this format, young people will not only be the creators of their own content, they will also critically question and analyse ways in which they and their social environment are typically portrayed in the media.

It’s a moment when perspectives shift to introduce those who are often the target of media bias as autonomous authors, narrators and critical thinkers of their own stories and perspectives, true to the motto:
