Mont Ventoux
Von KOR'SIATanz im August, presented by HAU Hebbel am Ufer
Sometimes, history can change in the course of a hike. The ascent of Mont Ventoux by the Italian scholar and poet Francesco Petrarch in 1336 is commonly considered the beginning of the European Renaissance. Inspired by his text, KOR’SIA set out for a journey in search for a renewed conception of humanity that meets the challenges of our time. Another future dawns on the other side of the huge glass wall that separates the stage – but how do we get there? MONT VENTOUX is a virtuosic epic for nine dancers, a traversal of countless urban and rural sceneries, a tireless effort towards transformation, and an encounter with unexpected bizarre beings.
