Las Victorias de El Alto
Las Victorias de El Alto tells the story of three women from El Alto who unite in the struggle for a dignified and free life without violence, coming together for a large women’s march and challenging society.
Victoria Mamani, a migrant from the countryside, illustrates the discrimination she faces in the new city.
Victoria Quenta confronts her father’s patriarchal violence every day and channels all her anger into the fight for recognition of her experiences.
Victoria Morales, feeling misunderstood and harassed by her friends and society, tries to rediscover herself through writing.
In each of the Victorias, we find faces of society’s problems that are often ignored, but also the persistence to continue the fight for a more just world for all women.
