hub presents RAT SECTION, SÒN DU MAQUÍS, WORKID

A chance meeting in Bucharest two summers ago saw Ratty Sleigh Johnson and Soopi (aka Soops) reunite. hub presents Rat Section, the London-based duo who combine voice, electronics, choreography and visual art into immersive performances poised somewhere between concert and installation. Meanwhile sòn du maquís (formerly Maquis Son Sistèm), the live project of Stefan Dubs, treats the mixing desk as an instrument and weaves halftime, downtempo and tribal rhythms into a live dub meditation. With a cut-and-shut approach, Workid’s DJ sets move through techno, industrial, rap, minimalism and art rock, opening the evening. The event is part hub, a series curated by Eleftheria, dedicated to soundsystem culture and designer electronics through live performance and exploratory DJ sets across different venues.
