NEW YORK is a girl-pop music and performance project by artists Gretchen Lawrence and Coumba Samba. The sampling of royalty free loops and sounds of clicks and cuts are met with chopped vocals and impulsive lyrics. NEW YORK chews up the sounds and visuals of hip hop, pop, and electro and spits them out on to the city streets. They self-released their debut album No Sleep Till N.Y. in 2022.

Max Brand’s solo music project can be read as a direct analogy to his work as a painter. His music and paintings are marked by an ecstatic process, eclectic and maximal. In a place where worlds and characters collapse into each other forming psychedelic landscapes. His compositions are unpredictable bursts of redactions and reconstructions. Like a free jazz dreamwork, they propose their own structure and similarly recalibrate the senses in a way that is pervasive. Max Brand studied at the Städelschule Frankfurt and has exhibited his work extensively throughout Europe and the US. Through the years, Max performed in various impromptu bands in the art context.
