What does having your own four walls mean for the personal development of young adults? The film accompanies recipients of Gangway – Straßensozialarbeit in Berlin e.V. on their search for their own living space. How do they cope with the challenges of Berlin’s increasingly fast-paced housing market when they are actually dealing with completely different issues such as stress at home, everyday life on the street, graduating from school, staying at home or looking for a job? And where does Gangway e.V. come in to support them in their search for accommodation? A Place for the Future is a short documentary by Social B&B in collaboration with taxitaxifilm, which provides insights into the everyday lives of young people whose voices need to be heard in the housing debate.  

 

The screening will be followed by a discussion and get-together.
