Community Day at the Neighborhood Theater
To wrap up FESTIWALLA 2024, we warmly invite you to our Community Day back home, at Theater X! From 3 p.m. onwards, expect a vibrant program that keeps the spirit of the past days alive.
The street theater workshops will showcase what they’ve learned and created throughout the week. Experience how art and politics merge on the streets, supported by local Berlin grassroots groups that sparked the inspiration for the performances.
Following the motto „When you eat together, you stick together,“ we’ll kick off with a buffet because nothing brings people together better than sharing a meal. The afternoon is dedicated to exchange: Together, we’ll reflect on the past days, gain new insights, learn from each other, look ahead, and prepare for the next steps in class struggle. Leave your impressions and favourite moments on our Festiwalla tag wall, share your experiences, and see what touched and moved others. At the stands, you can grab the linoleum and silkscreen prints from Saturday, created under the slogan „Strike Against War“ and „Culture for All“ – a piece of Festiwalla to take back home!
And to end the evening on a high note, enjoy some (live) music and come dance with us!
Home isn’t just a place—it’s where we fight together to keep our spaces alive. It’s where we gather, care for each other, and build our counter-culture: funding our youth clubs, managing our own spaces ourselves, and standing up against the repression of artistic workshops.
Our Community Day aims to be a familial closing celebration, where we honor the connections we’ve forged during these days together. Whether as participants or guests – everyone is warmly invited to join in shaping this special highlight together and to draw strength from each other for what lies ahead. We’re excited for an epic finale!
