APOKALIPSYNC
APOKALIPSYNC is a dark and gleaming ode to crowned queens, fallen souls, cheap mascara and the amazingly fleeting nature of time. From the depths of his glamourous inner dumping ground, the Swedish-Austrian actor and drag show artist Robert Fux invokes a cavalcade of characters, who all want their place at the table and demand to have their voices heard. This “monologue musical” is inspired by Slovenly Peter, Swedish popular music, Sisi and the vast expanses of make-up departments in shopping malls.
Robert Fux has been a permanent member of the Stockholm municipal theatre and worked as TV host for RuPaul’s Dragrace Sweden; he also played Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Royal Swedish Opera.
The day before at 8pm Robert Fux talks to Berlin Dragqueen Barbie Breakout about drag, power, resistance and subversion in the Roter Salon.
The performance will be held in German & English and will be translated into German and lasts approx. 75 minutes without an interval.
A performance in cooperation with the Swedish Embassy.
