ALICE IM WUNDERLAND

„Oh dear! I shall be too late!“ A white rabbit dashes past Alice pulling a watch out of his waistcoat pocket. Wait a minute – how can a rabbit tell the time? Have you ever seen anything like this before?

Without hesitating, Alice follows the White Rabbit down the rabbit hole. She finds herself falling and falling, and down she goes, for minutes on end, maybe forever – until she comes down and finds herself in a hall with doors all around that are all locked.

What now? How in the world, Alice wonders, is she ever to get out again?
Just to let you know: she will get out again.

But on her way back home, she encounters the Cheshire Cat, a smoking Caterpillar, a Queen with a passion for games, a Mad Hatter and so many other strange things and oddballs, that she begins to believe that nothing is impossible. Just imagine: In this wonderland, flowers can talk and clocks run backwards. Nothing is as it seems, and yet everything is as usual.

On the first and third Sundays of December, we invite you to Volksbühne’s Roter Salon to join us for a nice cup of tea with the Mad Hatter – imagine the impossible!
