AKE DIKHEA? – 9th International Festival of Romani Film

For the 9th time, the AKE DIKHEA? Festival of Romani Film invites audiences to Berlin. This year’s focus commemorates the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, one of many camps where, alongside Jews, countless Sinti and Roma were murdered during the Holocaust.

From Thursday to Sunday, the festival presents films exploring the lives of Sinti and Roma during World War II and the ongoing impact of the Holocaust. Many directors tell personal family stories shaped by persecution and war.

The program features competition films and specials, mostly documentaries, including selected short films, inviting discussion on history and its relevance today.
