Now it came to pass upon a day, that the goddamn child did not know what to do while dawdling away, so it rolled itself up and just died. Other children came in big numbers ranting and sputtering and sneering, then, madly, started kicking at the body with the toes of their shoes, harder and harder, and behold, the dead little child came apart and its body split open spilling pus and humours like sour cheese on the cheap footwear of those kicking so that they stood ankle-high in the child’s gook and had to wade through it to get away.
