The Earth, the Moon and the Universe
Lecture Performance with Mariola Brillowska

Visual artist, performer, writer, film and radio play director Brillowska presents improvised audio pieces, which form the basis of her films. Focusing on short pieces from Radio Tele Funke and PISS – Polish International Space Station, the lecture performance introduces us to the Funke couple, who flee to the moon as they are hunted by the law because of a programming error in a robot. PISS, recently built on Mount Schneekoppe, is run by the ex-singer and Miss Voice award winner Lola Brzozadrzewska, who offers flights to the moon.

Mariola Brillowska is an artist of German-Polish descent. Her interdisciplinary works deploy humour as a tool for analyzing social, cultural and political issues with a focus on stories that take place in the future. The radio play series Radio Tele Funke featuring more than 50 episodes can be accessed via Soundcloud.
