Smoothin Groovin is back at the lovely Grüner Salon after a short pause – soft, steady, and ready to move together again. On May 1st, we ease into a multi-textured dance, a gentle act of togetherness where resistance feels like warmth, rhythm, and shared breath on the floor.

We’re celebrating the power of gathering on the wooden dancefloor, for listening and letting go in a space that holds and lifts voices often left unheard.

Alongside smoothie resident TRU:L, we’re joined by a selection of unique artists, behind the decks and on the mic, each bringing their own tone, their own pulse, their own kind of sweetness.

AMULETO MANUELA (DJ set)

Born and raised in Colombia, now living and working in Berlin as a sound artist and DJ. In both fields she weaves music and sounds into uncompromisingly positional and personal listening experiences, with a focus on but not limited to vinyl records. Her highly danceable sets combine music from various African diasporas with a carefully curated vinyl selection of silky Afro-Latin Funk, Soul, and Disco, along with Latin American styles as dusty Boleros, classic and contemporary Cumbias and other genres such as Samba, and Guguancó. Each song is chosen from the heart and played with love, transitioning in unexpected ways without ever losing that groove.

MAURICIO FLEURY (DJ set)

As a sought-after producer, keyboardist, multi-instrumentalist and DJ, for the past 20 years, Mauricio Fleury from São Paulo, Brazil, has been making music happen across various styles. Now based in Berlin, he has also been playing his vinyl sets that connect those influences and reflect around 25 years of digging and playing tropical music and funk from different periods and locations: from Brazilian Samba and Boogie to West African Disco to Leftfield Pysch to Hypnotic grooves and beyond.

LAURÄN  (live vocals)

Raised in-between Romania and Hungary, and travelling all over the world to find her voice as a Roma woman, Laurän sees herself as a vocalist who likes to sing and ejoy the beauty of life. We’re excited to experience the smoothness of her voice and overall feeling of femininity, love and passion, as a spontaneous freestyle session, tailored to get people glued to the dancefloor.
