The second edition of Matt Lambert and Vitium’s, Sissy Smut, will feature writer, musician, dancer and director Brontez Purnell.
The first half of the evening will consist of a series of transgressive and explicit queer short films from Brian & Karl, Bruce LaBruce, Buttermilk Films, Christeene, GMHC*, Julie Chance, Jenni Olson, Peaches, PJ Raval and Susan Muska — as well as Purnell and Lambert.
The screening will be followed by a performance written and performed by Brontez, and directed by Lambert. Based on texts from ‘Johnny Would You Love Me If My Dick Were Bigger’, ‘The Bridges I’ve Burnt’ and ‘Nightlife of Jacuzzi Gasket’

Brontez Purnell is the author of several books, including 100 Boyfriends, which won the 2022 Lambda Literary Award in Gay Fiction, was long-listed for the 2022 Mark Twain Ameri- can Voice in Literature Award and the 2021 Brooklyn Public Library Literary Prize, and was named an Editors’ Choice by The New York Times Book Review. The recipient of a 2018 Whit- ing Award for Fiction and the 2022 Foundation for Contem- porary Arts Robert Rauschenberg Award, he was named one of the thirty-two Black Male Writers of Our Time by T: The New York Times Style Magazine in 2018. Purnell is also the frontman for the band the Younger Lovers and a renowned performance artist and zine-maker. Born in Triana, Alabama, he has lived in Oakland, California, for two decades.
Matt Lambert is an American filmmaker and visual artist based in Berlin for 12 years, whose intimate work spans film, TV, experimental documentary, fashion, music video, live performance and adult film. He has also been curating experimental queer cinema nights globally for over a decade. His project VITIUM, creates and produces queer film and print projects as well as live performance and events that blur the line between art and porn.
