Scripted Realityis a film program dedicated to narratively experimental feature films, short films, and video clips.
At the heart of the event are works that navigate the space between documentary and autofiction, telling stories of everyday life. Discoveries from YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok are presented alongside experimental film classics from the world’s cinematheques.
In Episode 6 of the diary series, we are delighted to welcome experimental filmmaker Ute Aurand as a guest at Scripted Reality. She is known for her 16mm films, in which she captures everyday moments through montage.
The program will feature her debut film Schweigend ins Gespräch vertieft as well as To Be Here, the final part of a trilogy that includes INDIA (2005) and JUNGE KIEFERN (2011). On this occasion, the video library will host its first-ever 16mm analog film screening.
Following a Q&A session moderated by Scripted Reality host Martha Mechow, the evening will conclude with Ute Aurand’s short film: SAKURA, SAKURA.
We look forward to your attendance!
