Salon für Text und Musik

Output number eight of the Salon for Text and Music titled Über Differenz/ On Difference, has Das Wetter launch Ralph Tharayil’s debut novel Nimm die Alpen weg [Just remove the Alps], published by Voland & Quist in the Edition Azur in February 2023. In a beautifully lyrical and powerful style, the novel tells the story of two siblings in Switzerland, their formation and deformation during their integration experience, and bodies and words that resist and defy these experiences. The book has already won the Alfred-Döblin medal in advance of its official release.
