Thomas Meinecke meets Hito Steyerl!

In the sixth episode of the series Plattenspieler at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, host Meinecke will respond to the music the filmmaker and author Steyerl chooses to bring along. Two turntables, a camera and a beamer, two mics, one screen – the stage is set for the event series Plattenspieler. Meinecke and his guest will talk about music, cultural contexts, visual designs, cover art and personal stories about and experiences with the music.

The writer, musician and DJ, Thomas Meinecke, is excited to see and listen to the records Hito Steyerl will bring, and he himself will pick records from his own vast collection to play to his guest. The show thrives on spontaneous ideas and reactions, no pre-talks!
