Experimental pop musician Sasha Perera aka Perera Elsewhere presents her new album HOME for the first time live at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz.

“Doom folk”, as she likes to call her bass-heavy productions, is a mix of instrumental experiments and musical explorations that sound as if they came –hence her name– from elsewhere. The London-based artist’s melancholic, emotional pop is of a rare quality. Her new album HOME, inspired by contemporary club beats and the joy of experimenting with musical arrangements and tunes, features recognisable psychedelic sound elements referring to earlier releases such as Everlast, but the new album takes her artistic creativity to the next level. Sideline projects of this versatile artist are compositions for moving images, art installations and dance performances.
