The journalist and writer Solmaz Khorsand offers a provocative and honest analysis of the full spectrum of lemming types, and shows how their behaviour can either constitute the basis for genocide, or be read as an act of rebellion. Using examples from scientific studies, literary texts, cultural history and topical political events, she sounds out the pattern and looks further into the matter by interviewing a masochist, who sees himself as a slave, a business consultant, a supermarket check-out worker, and a survivor of the Srebrenica genocide.
