Poesiealbum, a periodical dedicated to lyric poetry, marks the milestone of its 400th edition.

For over fifty years, this distinguished series has presented works by prominent contemporary and historical authors, in German and other languages.

The anniversary issue is devoted to the poetry of Samuel Beckett, one of the most significant literary figures of the twentieth century and recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1969.

His poetic output spans from the fragmented, montage-like long poems in the 1935 collection Echos Gebein, where chaos governs form and the absurd prevails, to the stark minimalism of the 1981 volume Mirlitonnades.  Through his distinctive manipulation of form and language, Beckett shaped a unique poetic universe—where distorted figures become agents of transformation, redefining the very space of lyric expression. Those who follow the curvilinear contours of his work will find themselves drawn toward nothingness, yet with an extraordinary clarity and precision remaining.
