Roma and Sinti have been an important part of Europe’s cultural and artistic heritage for over 600 years. They have strongly helped shape societies. Such as the German Society. The readings include a part of the literature of European Sinti and Roma writers from the 30s until now, which are presented in a chronological, thematic presentation.

Selected works are read in such a way that they make audible the transformations in the language through time, in relation to Sinti and Roma themes. Through a sound installation, the visibility of Roma literature is performatively amplified.

Thus, interpretations and reflection of change, in the sensitivity of society, are artistically stimulated in order to recognize the positive, but nevertheless the need for further development, and to practice the generally benevolent changes without coercive mechanisms.

The series is a project of the Rom*nja in Power Theatre Collective in cooperation with the RromaÆther Klub Theater and the feminist archive RomaniPhen e.V.
