In recent years a variety of political approaches have evolved to critically investigate „normality“ in film art. Ranging from Arthouse to Netflix productions, different avenues are taken to deal with identities and create space for dialogue.

The British project Autism Through Cinema was a five-year collaborative investigation into the relationships between neurodivergent thinking and cinematic creation. Led by Janet Harbord and Steven Eastwood, the Neurocultures Collective has created a body of work including a video essay, a documentary, a podcast and many publications and events to come to grips with archival footage and lay the ground for new experiences.

Our guest is Georgia Kumari Bradburn, a member of the Neurocultures Collective, who will show her film A Brief History of Circles and talk about neurodivergent cinema.
