Momo lives in some unnamed city in southern Europe, when a squad of spooky Grey Men arrive to promote the idea of time-saving among the population. In reality, however, they deceive everyone, because the time saved is ultimately lost to the savers. And people’s lives have become sterile and joyless. The more they save time, the poorer, colder and more fast-paced their world is. The lack of joy and love is mostly felt by the little ones.
