Speaking on the phone may save time, but it could also leave you in a state of private uncertainty: What situation is your conversation partner in during the call? Is the other person possibly communicating silently with a third party? Is the spoken word consistent with the facial expression? Where am I actually located? Is the location suitable for the topics being discussed? These unanswered questions are on many people’s minds, day-in, day-out.
