Canto Diáspora is a female vocal ensemble based in Berlin, founded in

2023 under the direction of Colombian singer Carolina Riaño.

Today, the choir brings together around 40 women, predominantly Latin American migrants, who combine their voices to form a collective sound.
This reflects the diversity and richness of Latin American oral traditions while creating new forms of communal expression.

Musically, Canto Diáspora moves between tradition and the present.

The ensemble combines traditional songs and responsorial chants from Latin America with new arrangements, creating a multi-layered mosaic of sound that transcends cultural boundaries and opens up new perspectives.
