SAFFI UNPLUGGED is an interdisciplinary performance that critically examines stereotypical representations of Romnja and Sintizze. Its starting point is Johann Strauss’ operetta Der Z*****baron, which continues to be performed and celebrated on major stages — despite its racist content. The project uses biographical texts, music, and video to deconstruct these images and create new narratives. We tell stories of identity, exclusion, resistance, and everyday life. Of voices that have long been ignored. Of stories that are still missing. And we ask: How much longer should others speak for us?

Theaterkollektiv Romano Svato stands for interdisciplinary forms of theatre that explore  Roma culture and identity artistically. It combines performing arts, music and activism into a multifaceted form of expression.
