Performance soup combines humor, music, and social critique into a poetic performance about belonging, identity, and coexistence. The ensemble members see themselves as hosts and invite the audience to their table — into their world, their stories, and their kitchen.
With symbolic ingredients such as peppers, potatoes, onions, and carrots, they cook a soup made of past, present, and future. In doing so, they address prejudice, everyday discrimination, and the power to redefine oneself. “We’ve cooked this soup together — now we have to eat it together,” say the performers, referring to both responsibility and solidarity.
