Blacksʼ Myths are Luke Stewart and Warren Crudup III. The duo creates sound walls of quite dynamic variation with complex loops and ecstatic melodies made from a symbiotic interaction of electric bass, electronica and percussions. Their music negotiates new perspectives of writing history and memory offering itself as an alternative medium to present historical narrations in more unfiltered, non-eurocentric ways. Blacks’ Myths are positive that sound forms the basis for a different conversation on blackness and opens up the chance to reflect on an increasingly complex world full of alternative facts through the lens of personal memories. History is rewritten as mythology (as the band’s name implies) finding its expression in personal experience to come alive on the dancefloor.
