Who gets a stage, who doesn’t? The concert of Badass Upcoming Rapstars focuses on young rappers, supported by experienced MCs such as Sorah and Alice Dee. Stay tuned for special guests!

The rap project of Xenion – Psychosoziale Hilfen für politisch Verfolgte e.V. is a project since 2019, which works to ensure that young refugees write, record and perform rap songs themselves. The finished videos can be viewed with subtitles on the YouTube channel „xenion rap“. Since 2020 they have been performing at demos and concerts in Berlin and Hamburg. Among others: Ely, Lil Che, Reshad, BJF, KDM and g.baker.

Sorah is a rapper, Berliner-by-choice with Algerian and English roots. She writes her texts about life, feminism, self-determination and against violence in English, French and German. Sorah flows confidently and determinedly to dark, strong beats. She passes on her skills to new generations in workshops in order to empower.

Alice Dee is MC – with powerful, raw and poetically fired rap volleys at 140 BPM speed. Whether freestyle or lyrics, grime or trap, angry and spiritual is not shot with empty words, but something new is dared. Alice Dee is there with the teamkreuzberg of Gangway e.V. to teach young people rap and to give them a stage, e.g. at the regular rap jams in the Görli. Some young people from Gangway e.V. will perform.

Finally, there will be a DJ (tba).

Admission 7€, for young people on a free donation basis
