Margarita Breitkreiz and Julia Thurnau are performing ClaudeHildes‘ social sculpture The Artist at Work.
Following on from the laziness congress at the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz in 2002, the utopian collective CLAUDEHILDE is reflecting on laziness as the basis of all creative work.
But female laziness becomes impossible through permanent self-optimization. With a big mustache we call for a revolution of lazy women, praising laziness and Malevic’s Suprematism, in the collection “Profi-Sorium” of the fashion designer Clara Kaesdorf.
Everybody dreams oft he happyness of lazyness. (Kasimir Malevic)
Laziness is the absence of movement and thought, dumb time – total amnesia. It is also indifference, staring at nothing, non-activity, impotence. It is sheer stupidity, a time of pain, futile concentration. Those virtues of laziness are important factors in art.
Knowing about laziness is not enough, it must be practised and perfected. (Mladen Stilinović)
