Fashionshow Start: 20:00
Afro Fashion Circle is a group of three artists and fashion designers with an Afro-diasporic history. They draw attention to unbalanced power structures and colonialist consequences.
Each artist has been able to develop his own style through different training and experience.
On the evening of March 26, 2023, a fashion show will take place in the „Grüner Salon“ of the Volksbühne, Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz 2, where the artists will present different perspectives, aesthetics and forms. The focus of the show is Afro fashion, with all its facets, edges and diversity.
Our designers have an ethical and moral compass in their collections, which is visualized in the artistic elaboration.
The collections are influenced by experiences with everyday racism, sustainability as a cycle – in a circular world, every material is part of the circle, culture is a luxury good and the weaving of bodies.
The evening creates space for black empowerment and people who want to show solidarity with this event.
