Timo Feldhaus

Timo Feldhaus is a journalist and author. In 2010 he completed his master’s degree in literature, sociology and comparative literature at the Freie Universität Berlin. Since then, he has published essays, portraits, reviews, short stories, travelogues, columns and celebrity interviews in international newspapers and magazines. As an editor of DE:BUG magazine for electronic lifestyle, he initiated text and image productions, that dealt speculatively and analytically with aesthetically generated reality. Later he developed a much-discussed online platform for the art magazine Spike Art Quarterly, which he ran until 2016. Since 2017, he is editor-in-chief of the Volksbühne Berlin. From September on, he will write the column Mapping the Volksbühne. As a series, in columns on the website and in the monthly newsletter, in interviews, studio visits and video formats, he will pose the question: What is theatre’s purpose?
