The world premiere of rauschen, the theatre’s first co-production with Sasha Waltz & Guests, will be presented on the main stage. A few days before the premiere, Waltz’s classic work Allee der Kosmonauten (Avenue of the Cosmonauts) will be performed twice. The following guest productions can also be seen at the Volksbühne this month: Die Welt im Rücken (The World At Your Back) directed by Jan Bosse, based on Thomas Melle’s book and featuring Joachim Meyerhoff; and Dimiter Gotscheff’s production of Immer noch Sturm (Storm Still) by Peter Handke, with a cast including Bibiana Beglau and Jens Harzer.

From the repertory in March: Coming Society; Das 1. Evangelium (The First Gospel); Haußmanns Staatssicherheitstheater (Haußmann’s State Security Theatre); and Volksverräter!! (Traitor of the people!!). Other performances on the main stage: the concert Tatortreiniger Soundtracks with Carsten ‘Erobique’ Meyer & Guests and the Festival Musik und Politik (Music and Politics Festival).

On the 3. Stock stage, the youth theatre group P14 is celebrating the premiere of Should I stay or should I stay by Paula Knüpling, Marina Prados and Marlene Kolatschny. From March 15 onwards, the pavilion at Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz is re-named LVX! For the first exhibition, the pavilion is transformed into a starship with a group show by the Berlin artists’ initiative of the same name. Regular exhibitions of contemporary art to follow each give the pavilion a new appearance. Tickets for all events in March may be purchased from 1 February online via, at the Volksbühne box office and by telephone on +49 (0) 30 2406 5777.
