Grüner Salon: premiere of Der Klang der Familie on 28 June 2018

> Trailer

We would like to invite you to the premiere of Der Klang der Familie on June 28, 2018. It is the last play in a four-part series that Calla Henkel and Max Pitegoff have written and directed for the Grüner Salon in the 2017/2018 season.

Der Klang der Familie is about the pressure to entertain, unstoppable climate change and the remnants of classicism. The initial situation: Changes to the tax code mean that straight marriage is outmoded and a TV crew is filming the marriage of Global Warming and her bride Kelly on Christmas Day in Berlin. Each character searches for their arc as things spin from reality TV and glittering spectacle into a tattered musical. The Family Band (Sir Henry, Tobias Spichtig, and Herman Hermann) has been hired for the occasion, but mostly they are hunting for their next musical matriarch, hoping to find something authentic to fill their void.
