Literature at the Volksbühne in April 2018

The Volksbühne’s April literary programme includes Stefanie Sargnagel on the main stage, as well as book releases, author talks, a performance and the presentation of the A und A Kulturstiftung’s literary prize 2018 in the Roter Salon:

Stefanie Sargnagel & Puneh Ansari
Monday, 23 April 2018, 8 pm / DJ Mr. Freeze beginning at 7 pm
Volksbühne main stage
Admission: 18 €/ 14€

On 23 April Stefanie Sargnagel will read from her books Fitness, Binge Living and In der Zukunft sind wir alle tot (In the future we’ll all be dead), as well as from her current book Statusmeldungen (Status updates), at the Volksbühne. She writes with radical subjectivity and wisdom about the so-called simple life, feminism, hopelessness and depression. Sargnagel is frugal with her words, whilst always returning to her narrative, and then occasionally sketches something. She explodes all genre barriers and takes an unused path to a destination one does not necessarily have to call a novel to be enchanted by it. It is often ragingly funny and sometimes tragic. Support act for this event will be Puneh Ansari with her debut Hoffnun’. More info
